The Cliffhouse Haunting is on sale in ebook for $0.99 on Amazon September 23rd – September 30th.

When the Blue Lady Walks …

Since 1887, Cliffhouse Lodge has been famous for its luxurious accommodations, fine dining… and its ghosts. Overlooking Blue Lady Lake, nestled among tall pines, Cliffhouse has just been renovated by its owners, Teddy and Adam Bellamy, and their daughter, Sara.

Cliffhouse has not always been a place of rest and respite, though. Over the years it has served many vices, from rum-running to prostitution – and although the cat house has been replaced by a miniature golf course and carousel, Cliffhouse retains its dark history; darkest during the Roaring Twenties, when a serial killer called the Bodice Ripper terrorized the town, and a phantom, the Blue Lady, was said to walk when murder was imminent.

Death Walks With Her…

Now, there’s a new killer on the loose, and the Blue Lady sightings have returned. The Bellamys are losing maids, and guests are being tormented by disembodied whispers, wet phantom footprints, and the blood-chilling shrieks of mad laughter that echo through the halls of Cliffhouse in the dead of night.

The little mountain town of Cliffside is the perfect hunting ground for a serial killer… and the Blue Lady. Police Chief Jackson Ballou has bodies piling up, and between the murders and the mysteries, he can hardly pursue his romance with Polly Owen. And Sara Bellamy may lose her true love before they even have their first kiss.

“Thorne and Cross bring the goods with THE CLIFFHOUSE HAUNTING, a clockwork mechanism of gothic chills designed to grab the reader by the scruff and never let go until the terrifying conclusion. Atmospheric, sexy, brooding, and brutal, the book manages to be simultaneously romantic and hardboiled. Highly recommended! – Jay Bonansinga, the New York Times bestselling author of The Walking Dead: InvasionLucid, and Self Storage.

“Thorne & Cross keep the surprises coming as swiftly as a master magician …The characters quickly become people we know, but then wish perhaps we didn’t … The laughter of recognition rides like bubbles on the surface of a deep-flowing darkness …There’s something cold in here.” – Mark Hein, critic and editor at theaterghost.com

“Thorne & Cross are clever. The plot they create reads effortlessly, and they make us laugh and cringe and widen our eyes, looking away from the text at times to say, “Oh, no you didn’t.” But they did.” – Michael Aronovitz, author of Alice Walks and The Witch of the Wood

Ghostly footsteps down long darkened hallways? Check.

An unknown serial killer on the loose? Yep.

An egomaniacal writer? You got it.

An unusually macabre mortician? Of course.

A doctor slowly driven mad? Why not?

Mystery? More than you can shake a murder weapon at.

Unnatural use of household appliances? Naturally.

Profuse amounts of terror, sex, and bloodshed? Abso-freakin-lutely.

From September 23rd through the 30th, THE CLIFFHOUSE HAUNTING will be on sale in ebook at Amazon for $0.99 in both the U.S. and the UK, so if you’re looking for a PHANTASTIC escape into the dark side this Halloween season, book your reservations at the Cliffhouse Lodge.

There’s an island up in Gold Country at the northern end of Snapdragon Lake. It’s named Manchester for the family that owns it, but the locals call it Spite Island. There’s a single lonely mansion on that island and a group of authors have been invited to write about its ghosts and its mysteries. But the real mystery is, who will still be breathing at the end of this luxurious and deadly retreat?

Tonight at 8 pm EST, we’ll be talking to bestseller, Daniel Kraus, on Thorne & Cross: Haunted Nights LIVE!

George A. Romero invented the modern zombie with Night of the Living Dead, creating a monster that has become a key part of pop culture. Romero often felt hemmed in by the constraints of film-making.

To tell the story of the rise of the zombies and the fall of humanity the way it should be told, Romero turned to fiction. Unfortunately, when he died, the story was incomplete.

Enter Daniel Kraus, co-author, with Guillermo del Toro, of the New York Times bestseller The Shape of Water (based on the Academy Award-winning movie) and Trollhunters (which became an Emmy Award-winning series), and author of The Death and Life of Zebulon Finch (an Entertainment Weekly Top 10 Book of the Year).

A lifelong Romero fan, Kraus was honored to be asked, by Romero’s widow, to complete The Living Dead.

The Ghosts of Ravencrest by Alistair Cross and Tamara Thorne continues the tradition of two authors who, when put together, create a world in which you aren’t sure if you want to belong or totally avoid.

Belinda is a chick who hates where she is in life and the opportunity to become a governess at Ravencrest is almost too good to be true. The life she encounters there is both what she hopes for and not at the same time.

As with most stories of this type there is an evil overseer of sorts, and in this case, it is Miss Cordelia Heller. Man is she a horrible person. She’s the epitome of the boss you never want. Except for the fact that she’s not really Belinda’s boss, she just thinks she is. Heller is the “house administrator”. So she feels she has more power than she truly does. Heller’s reach is unfathomable to me. She’s a genius and screw-up at the same time. I want to punch her face off. BUT I understand her need to exist for the story. I really can’t stand her.

Belinda’s friendship with Grant is one of the things I love about this book. You can see the growth in their friendship as well as Belinda’s maturity as the story goes on. Grant is easily liked and is the kind of guy most girls would love to encounter in a potentially difficult employment situation.

I enjoy the historic elements of the story. While not all horror based or real, they do play a part in the back-story and make the story feel more realistic. The authors do a good job in their world building and I appreciate that.

I recommend The Ghosts of Ravencrest to anyone who likes an exciting ghost story with characters you love to hate.” – Fang-Freakin-Tastic Book Reviews

Something is coming.
Cade Colter is dealing with a group of fanatical vampire killers even as he grieves the death of his girlfriend at the fangs of his own brother. His life is in turmoil and just when it seems things couldn’t get worse a new evil comes to town.
The Woman in Black is back.
Now, something else roams the streets of Crimson Cove – something far deadlier than any vampire. She comes with the fog, she comes with the night, and she’s spreading a lethal poison that slowly rots her victims from the inside out … and she’s looking for Cade.
Sooner or later, you’ll see her, too.
First comes the deadly low hum of a thousand black wasps…
Then a feeling of dread so deep and cold that you dare not breathe…
A figure, a woman dressed in old-fashioned widow’s weeds, appears before you …
Don’t Scream.
She wants to know your terror. She wants to taste your pain.
